Johannesburg Water is a municipal entity owned by the City of Johannesburg mandated to provide water and sanitation services to the residents of Johannesburg. The entity supplies some 650 000 domestic, commercial and industrial customers and serves an estimated three million people.
The entity stands firmly on a vision to become the leading water utility in South Africa; and the mission to provide all people of Johannesburg with access to quality water and sanitation services. Johannesburg Water continues to deliver a sustainable, affordable and cost effective service; upgrades services in low income areas; creates a customer-focused culture; builds capacity through the development of its employees with a particular emphasis on those who were previously disadvantaged; and improves protection of the environment.
