The Big Top Arena at Carnival City towers 9m into the sky, is 70m in diameter, and has 5 000 parking bays, a Sun International hotel and a Road Lodge. On 3 October 1999 Carnival City switched on its neon lights for the first time. Blinking in the night sky, the lights could be seen for kilometres around and have since attracted thousands of visitors to the City.
