Established 30 years ago, Aldes is the South African leader in business broking, with over 45 independently owned and managed franchises countrywide. The first franchise was opened in 1995 and the company has gone from strength to strength thereafter. Training seminars on the buying and selling of businesses are run on an ongoing basis, for the public. BEE seminars, again, open to the public, are a new addition to the Aldes education drive and feature talks from various finance institutions, private firms and government funds. With financing
being a tricky issue for most buyers, Aldes is focused on various methods for buyers to acquire funding - with the final goal being the setting up of satisfied buyers in their own successful businesses. ‘Buyers of Today are Sellers of Tomorrow’ and with this in mind, ethical and fair service standards are a priority.

Training programmes: Open seminars, published guides on ‘How to Buy & Sell Your Business’ BEE Seminars. Aldes brokers come from a wealth of prior business and finance backgrounds. They are required to complete the EAAB exam, and acquire a fidelity fund certificate in order to practice. Brokers also receive in-house training and acquire a Certificate in Business Broking.
