JUDGES 2011

Judging Process

During the entry phase entries are reviewed as they come in to determine whether they meet the criteria and are entering the correct category. We will revert to you before the cut-off date should your entry not be adequate and advise on how to improve your entry to ensure qualification.

Once the entry period closes the entries are compiled and put forward for the internal judging.

The purpose of the internal judging is to shortlist the categories to the 5 best entries per category. Several members of Topco’s senior management deliberate and come up with the top 5 according to the criteria. The quality of the motivation is also a decisive factor. The top 5 are declared our finalists and there info is again compiled and sent to our independent panel of judges.

The judges meet at a set date and they then review all the entries and determine the winners. There decisions are based on how well the companies did according to our criteria, as well as the quality of there motivation. The motivation should address each criteria point in a concise fashion. Companies who submit company profiles instead of addressing the specific criteria often are disqualified or simply score lowly as the judges do not have much to judge them with. Once a consensus is reached on each category a winner is chosen. Winners are announced on the evening of the awards.
